LORAC is one of my favorite high-end makeup brands. Everything that I have tried is pigmented, blendable, and beautiful. So, every time there is a new Lorac launch, I’m always excited to try out the latest products.
Lorac has launched the Color Source Buildable Blush, $22, available in 10 gorgeous shades. The blushes instantly bring life to your cheeks. They are silky-smooth matte and satin blushes, which can be worn sheer for a natural flush of color, or layered for a dramatic effect. The two shades that I reviewed are Chroma and Technicolor, both mattes. In the photo below, I am wearing Chroma – a lovely berry shade. Technicolor is more of a peach shade.
As you can see from the swatches below, both blushes are extremely pigmented with only one swipe. This is definitely a blush you want to use with a light hand, unless you are going for a very bold look, which can be easily achieved with these.
The Lorac Alter Ego Lipsticks in this line are exclusive to Kohl’s. The lipsticks coat your lips in highly-pigmented color with an opaque, matte finish. The formula is ultra-rich and velvety-smooth, loaded with anti-aging antioxidants such as Acai Berry, Pomegranate, Grape Seed Extract, and Vitamins C and E to help hydrate, nourish, and condition your lips.
The shade that I have in the Alter Ego Lipstick is Nudist – a warm neutral shade, as seen in the photo below. The pigmentation is amazing and the staying power is great, too. If you have extra dry or chapped lips, I would recommend hydrating them with a lip balm, and then exfoliating, before you wear these lipsticks. Since the formula is so opaque and matte, it would tend to bring out fine lines, dry spots, and so on, if you do not properly hydrate your lips first.
Lorac products never fail me! There are other great products available that I am looking forward to trying, such as the Porefection Foundation, Nude Necessities Eye Shadow Palette, and the Soft to Smokey Eye Collection.
