Teal is the new buzz color in makeup and fashion this season, and that blue-green color is so mesmerizing (you’ll recall that ducks gave birth to this fashionable hue since the color surrounds the eyes of the “common teal”) that you will need to own and voice it whole heartedly in the fall.
Avon’s Tribal Teals Collection for Fall 2009 has some beautiful offerings. Simply stunning eyeshadow quads and nail lacquers along with charcoal eye pencils make the Tribal Teals collection one of the most exciting that I’ve seen from them.
The True Color Eyeshadow Quad (only $7) marries shimmery and smoky shadows and the Textured Teal quad gives you fall’s version of the smoky eye, that I fully intend to leverage during fashion week:
Avon’s Textured Teal Eyeshadow Quad
This quad has one of the best eyeshadow colors I’ve used (the teal) and the effect can be quite stunning when applied (use the lighter shades on the brow bone and the darker shades on the lid and outer crease):
As you can see, the quad is quite shimmery, and reminds me of Chanel’s Fall 2009 Eyeshadow quad with the predominant tone being green.
The two nail lacquers in the Tribal Teals collection are Nocturnal and Textured Teal ($4.50 each). I LOVE the Nocturnal shade. LOVE!! It reminds me of a quasi mocha with a touch of mauve and is so very fall.
Avon Nail Lacquer in “Nocturnal” – MUST HAVE!
The Tribal Teals Collection also includes lovely Kohl eyeliners with built in smudgers in Charcoal and Bronze ($6 each). These are such beautiful alternatives to the traditional black eyeliner.
