My favorite part of Halloween, hands down, is getting to test-drive beauty looks that even I am too shy to rock in real life. Heart-shaped beauty marks for Marie Antoinette, triangle-shaped purple and pink blush for Cyndi Lauper, rhinestone faux eyelashes for… anything? So when I got the chance to try on a wig, I knew I wanted to go for something totally out of my comfort zone.

Enter the Big Wave Bob in Natural Black from LUXHAIR, a style that I’ve always loved on cooler goth girls than myself and never had the nerve to try. Mandie is a ride-or-die redhead, so I decided to transform myself into Snow White.
Snow White is the original Disney princess, so you’ll need a flat, cartoon-perfect face for this look. Start with a full coverage foundation like Revlon Colorstay 24 Hour Liquid Makeup. If you’re not already Casper pale, pick a shade one step lighter than your skintone. I’m also covering my lips, since I’ll be drawing them on later with an exaggerated heart shape.
Next, I’m brightening my under eye area with Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in Brighten, and setting everything with a dusting of L’Oreal True Match Mineral Powder in Soft Ivory.
To make the apples of your cheeks pop, we’ll create a C-shaped contour with matte bronzer. Grab a dome-shaped blending brush and a matte bronzer, like Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. Smile, and trace a C shape from right above your ear and around the apple of your cheek. This is an exaggerated look, so it should be deeper than your daily contour. I’m also dusting bronzer down the sides of my nose to make it appear more narrow.
Apply a bright pink blush right on the apples of your cheeks for a cartoon flush. I’m using Mata Hari by NARS Cosmetics, but any matte pink or rose shade will work. Now, grab a clean powder brush and blend the blush and bronzer to blur any harsh lines to make the look more natural.
Snow White’s eye look is a subtle gray. Dust a matte peach shade from crease to brow bone. Apply a shimmery grey on the center of the lid, and blend the 2 colors together along the crease with a fluffy brush. I’m using colors M-530 and M-108 from the Make Up For Ever Studio Case.
Snow White was released in 1937, so I traced along the top of my arch only with a black shadow (M-100 from the Studio Case) and an angled brush. Don’t worry if it looks unnatural. You’re going for an exaggerated, cartoon look.
Line your top lash line with liquid liner, like Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. Trace the bottom lash line with a charcoal pencil, like butter London Wink Eye Pencil in Earl Grey. Finish with several coats of black mascara.
At this point, try on your wig. A side-swept bang is most flattering on me, but you’ll want a middle part and a red ribbon for the most accurate Disney Snow White effect.
The final step to pull this look together is Snow White’s doll mouth. If necessary, go over natural lips again with foundation or concealer to erase their shape. Using a red lip liner, overdraw your top lip in a heart shape that is narrower than your natural lip. Sketch a bottom lip to match, also taller and narrower than your natural lip. This heart shape can be tricky, so start your outline narrower than you want it to be. It will get bigger as you even out the shape. Start small and work your way up! Fill in with your red pencil, then fill in again with a glossy, blue-based red.
