We’ve had a few contests on BeautyStat to date, and love to see your beautiful faces. No, we really mean it! By now, we’re so grateful for the participation levels in our recent HTC HD7 Windows Phone contest and, of course, our first makeup contest.
Our second makeup competition is on!
We encourage you to send us your best makeup shots taken from your phone, or using a professional camera or studio (trust us, we’re not giving extra points for studio shots — we just want to see your talent and passion).
Send us a photo in one of the two categories below to be eligible for the competition:
1) Full Face with makeup: this includes lips, foundation, eye shadow…the works. Just give us your best shot;
2) Eyes Only (creativity and artistry encouraged).
We will pick five finalists from each category and leave it to you to vote and determine the winners in both of these categories (there will be a first prize and a second prize overall, based purely on the number of votes each contestant receives).
The winner will receive a beauty hamper worth $300, and the runner up will receive a beauty hamper worth $200.
What we’re encouraging everyone to do here is to also describe the look you’re going for: remember this is a spring makeup competition, so do your best to make the colors fresh yet uniquely your own. If possible, use brands you already know and are comfortable with, so you’re not completely in unfamiliar territory. We’d rather see how well you used an “oldie but goodie” product than you showing us you’ve tried the latest blockbuster mascara.
Please, don’t send us photos of models that you’ve made up. We want YOUR own faces representing YOUR talent. No makeup artist or wedding shots (unless you’ve made up your own face).
We wish every participant much success. It takes great dedication, courage and skill to send us a photo of yourself and your makeup, and we can’t tell you how much we love looking at all your talent.
