Best Beauty Looks at the MET's Costume Ball 2010

At the Annual MET Ball held on May 3, 2010, the stars were sprinkled on the carpet like richly decorated posies. From Anne Hathaway to Kate Hudson, Hollywood’s best and brightest stole the show with tanned faces, flirty, voluminous and ethereal hair. Here are some of our picks for the best beauties on the red carpet last night:

Kate Hudson Sports a St. Tropez Tan and Elegant Updo

David Babaii used Living Proof to get Kate Hudson’s fine, limp hair to a thicker more richly textured feel. The trick? Rubbing product between your fingers to activate ingredients, then applying fully from the root shaft.

Carey Mulligan’s Full-Fringe Crop

A far cry from Mulligan’s long, lanky hair in An Education, this pixie almost Winona Ryder inspired do was styled by Sebastian Professional stylist Thomas Dunkin who wanted to counter her long, feminine dress with a tomboy flair. This look used a large amount of Sebastian Professional Potion No. 9 on damp hair.

Claire Danes Does the Smokey

Revlon’s Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman gives actress Claire Danes a gorgeous smokey eye to complement her naturally wavy shoulder-length locks. Her foundation, Revlon’s PhotoReady line of makeup, powder and transluscent finisher, gives her skin a gorgeous, unified texture. As for her eyes, Westman used Revlon Luxurious Color Satin Eye Shadow in Platinum Glimmer on her lids, and Revlon Luxurious Color Perle Eye Shadow in Glistening Snow on the inner corner.

Gwen Stefani: Channeling Grace Kelly

Gwen’s dress was made from a gold, vintage thread fabric from the 1930’s and star hairstylist Danilo created a “a dramatic, contemporary twist inspired by Grace Kelly and the Hitchcock film goddesses. He applied the new Pantene Pro-V Color Nourishing Treatment, left it for five minutes, then rinsed. On her wet hair, Danilo evenly spritzed the new Pantene Pro-V Medium-Thick Heat Protection & Shine Spray to prep for the blow dry. Then he pinned her hair back and created a piecey look using his fingers on top so the hair wasn’t completely smooth. The Anti-Humidity Hairspray sealed the deal.
