Tress trends last night at the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee were music to my ears. And don’t even get me started on the gowns…
As if to step aside and make way for the tunes, simplicity seemed to reign in the leading ladies’ glossy manes. Volume was present, to be sure. (Would it be Fall 2010 without it?) And straight-forward ‘dos and parts were the perfect complement to each ensemble.
Take Gwyneth Paltrow, for instance, who looked absolutely (and appropriately) stunning for her country debut. Her simple side part and straight locks allowed attention to focus on her sleek physique and mirrored the cut-outs in her dress. Perfection!
CMA co-host Carrie Underwood also let her hair down with a part down the middle, and loose waves framing her lovely face. My eyes are drawn to her smoky eyes immediately, and then downwards. Can we talk about tulle-ific??
Triple threat (or should I say triple winner?) Miranda Lambert stepped it up a bit with her va-va-voluminous half-up, half-down look. Like Carrie, Miranda’s face is framed by her bangs, and you can’t help but be pierced by those eyes. Congrats, lady!
Sure, Taylor Swift may have been upstaged by Miranda in the way of awards, but the stunner did not disappoint in the way of enter-mane-ment. With a deep side part and slightly teased updo, Taylor’s red-hot look sang its own award-winning solo.
Oh, for love of country!
