After paying close attention to progress made by both the Regenica® and SkinMedica products, my journey taking the Growth Factor Challenge has finally come to an end. It’s been pretty interesting comparing and contrasting the results of both products, so now that I’ve gotten a taste of both skin-regenerating products, it’s time to figure out which one worked better for my skin.
To recap, each product featured in the challenge contain growth factors, which are naturally occurring cell signifying agents which help aid in collagen and elastin production. So naturally, when using growth factor skincare, expect a more rejuvenated-looking appearance, as growth factors also boost the body’s ability to repair and regenerate the skin. Both Regenica® Overnight Repair and SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum® fall under the growth factor skin care category, so I’ve been monitoring my progress carefully to see how each one has transformed my skin.
You may remember during the second part of the challenge how I was instructed to use Regenica® Overnight Repair first. Applying the product onto my face and decolletage areas before bedtime, I was impressed with how the product made my skin feel each morning, as my complexion instantly felt more moisturized and tighter with continued use. Plus, within the week that I used the product, my skin texture improved, while dark spots and acne scars started to fade.

The second part of the challenge called for me to stop using the Regenica® product and switch over to the SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum® for one complete week as well. Using a unique, dual-toned formula, I was asked to apply this onto the facial and decolletage areas too, to see how this product exactly affected my skin. Unlike the creamy texture of the Regenica® Overnight Repair, this TNS product went on pretty thin, so to cover all necessary areas I found myself using a few pumps as opposed to one.
With that said, while using this serum, I liked the fact that my skin instantly absorbed up the formula. However, I found out that by the next morning it left my skin a bit dry. Sure, my skin felt tighter (really worked great on crow’s feet) with daily use, but the smell of this product tends to give off a more a “product-y” kind of smell as opposed to that of Regenica®.
After using these products at head-to-head comparison for 2 straight weeks, I believe that my skin responded better to the Regenica®, as I really liked the way it made my skin feel overall. Giving me an unbeatable glow, I’ll totally be incorporating this product into my everyday routine for sure, as I’d like to see results after a full month’s use. Just keep in mind that no two skin types are the same, so it is possible that the TNS product might work better for you. Regardless, both products work great for some serious anti-aging action.
