It’s not bridal season yet, but it’s never too early to prepare. This year, we take cues from Bollywood’s fiercely compelling looks. Renowned makeup artist and hairstylist Namrata Soni based in Mumbai, India, gives us the low down. She says, “It’s all about the eyes, Modern brides should try dark colored liners and metallic eye shadows. If used correctly it can look beautiful. She recommends to try pink and orange lipsticks or glosses to brighten up the face, it looks wonderful, modern and chic.”
For brides, Namrata loves Clarins beauty flash balm because it hydrates the skin and leaves it looking fresh. Elizabeth Arden ‘s eight-hour cream is absolutely fabulous and calms irritated skin and rashes. She also loves the Dior lip plumper.
Namrata Soni’s work has been featured in the leading magazines, and her models have included the creme de la creme of Bollywood. The buck does not stop with print: she’s dabbled in fashion, films, advertisements, campaigns and fashion shows too.

Prep the skin. Begin with a lip liner using the same red tone as the lipstick of your choice. Use a tissue to blog the lipstick and repeat this one more time. Use a blush like Benefit’s “Bella Bamba” and use a soft brown liner for the eyes and a caramel eye shadow like Laura Mercier’s “Cafe au Lait.” Smoothen the brow to add finishing touches. This look shows you that bridal lip colors and stains can be used without being overly dramatic.
