With Coachella right around the corner, the “king of curly hair”, Ricky Pennisi provides tips on how to rock this new summer hair trend – natural curls that are full of body and frizz-free. Recently Beyoncé sported a curly ‘do on the cover of Elle Magazine and looked fabulous, as usual.

This look is great for naturally curly and wavy hair. Voluminous, frizz-free curls begin in the shower with a sulfate-free shampoo like RI CI Splash. Sulfate-free shampoos don’t strip the natural oils in your hair which prevents frizz and hair damage. Once you are out of shower, gently towel dry your hair and section your hair into three levels. Starting at the bottom and working your way to the top, apply RI CI Thirsty Styling Gel to define the curls, then spray the RI CI Memory Setting Spray all over your hair to lock in the curls. This step blocks out the frizz and keeps curls in their place. Finally, use a diffuser to dry your hair to get big bouncy curls. A diffuser will enhance curls by 30% and is great for those who have naturally wavy or curly hair. For a softer curl, brush out the curls softly with a big comb or teasing brush.
