The long awaited movie, The Girl On The Train, opens in theaters today and we’ve got the breakdown on Emily Blunt‘s look from the NYC premiere styled by Ashley Streicher.
As it was vital that Emily’s new blonde locks be bright and shiny, Ashley had no doubts to begin by cleansing and conditioning hair with StriVectin HAIR Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner ($23 each, Sephora.com), and StriVectin HAIR Color Care Vibrancy Booster ($27, Sephora.com)
Once hair was clean but still wet, she applied a few pumps of StriVectin HAIR Ultimate Restore Densifying Foaming Treatment ($44 , sephora.com) at the roots of the air, and StriVectin HAIR Max Volume Bodifying Radiance Serum ($35, Sephora.com) through the ends, combing everything through
She next began a blowout using a small/medium round brush – not for volume, but to get some soft waved texture. Once dry with waves and a strong side part has been made using a rat tail comb, she used a dry texture spray at the roots only, so ends stayed shiny and separated.
Next, Ashley chose random pieces of hair and went over the wave with a flat iron, giving it an organized, flat wave.
She set with strong hold hairspray, tucked the tightly parted side behind Emily’s ear, and kept waves around her face in place with setting clips until she walked out the door – she then released the waves and sprayed once more.
All StriVectin HAIR products are available at Sephora.com.
