The beauty industry honored six of its most accomplished thought-leaders at its 39th Annual Achiever Awards luncheon on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The Awards recognized the achievements of the cosmetics industry’s most talented women who serve as inspiration for future leaders and encourage companies to support women’s advancement.
In celebration of CEW’s 60th Anniversary, CEW presented a special Lifetime Achievement Award to Leonard A. Lauder, Chairman Emeritus, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. Mr. Lauder was recognized for his many years of leadership in, and contributions to, the beauty industry, and his dedication to the advancement of women. This is the first time in its history that CEW has honored a male leader at the Achiever Awards.
Also for the first time, all of the CEW Achievers were beauty industry entrepreneurs who have created unique brand and retail concepts. Nominated by CEW’s Board of Governors and selected by CEW’s Achiever Awards committee, the Honorees were:
• Laura Geller, Founder, Laura Geller Beauty
