MAC Cosmetics recently announced their latest Viva Glam Ambassador, the late Keith Haring. This year, the iconic program created by MAC Cosmetics will be honoring Keith Haring.

If you aren’t familiar with MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam line, since 1994, they have raised over $500,000,000 globally. This is the collection’s 27th birthday and 100% of the proceeds from this collection will be donated.

Reminiscent of how the artist considered the subways of New York his laboratory for experimentation, Viva Glam x Keith Haring invites experimentation and creative exploration. Mix, match, and create limitless impactful looks with red, yellow, and blue hues that are as boldly original worn alone as they are when mixed to a bespoke shade of purple, green, or orange. Three special limited-edition lipsticks in Keith Haring’s signature primary color palette in Matte and Frost finishes come together for this year’s Viva Glam collection. Each work of pop art is expressed through Keith Haring’s symbolic street-style imagery.

Haring himself passed away of AIDS-related complications in 1990 and in 1994, MAC Cosmetics Viva Glam was created as a direct relief response to the AIDS epidemic. The artistic parallels between Haring and MAC are evident: Haring’s inimitable street pop art sprang into the epicenter of New York’s artistic subculture in the 1980s, right when MAC launched as the definitive rule-breaking Artistry brand. Their shared philosophy that artistic expression should be democratic and unbound by the rules is at the heart of both Haring’s art and MAC as a brand and their communal belief in equal rights and healthy futures for all that forms the most meaningful message for MAC Viva Glam x Keith Haring.

The MAC Viva Glam x Keith Haring collection is currently available now. In addition to three new, special-edition lipsticks, every cent of the selling price of all three lipsticks goes to support the health and rights of people of All Ages, All Races, and All Genders all year round.
