Mad Hippie Microdermabrasion Facial

Mad Hippie is a brand that’s new to me. I have to admit, I immediately loved the name so I was intrigued from the start. Mad Hippie’s skincare products have rejuvenating properties, so they work well for aging skin. However, they also have products that can be great for younger skin too – such as their serums – which help maintain a smooth complexion.

Mad Hippie Microdermabrasion Facial | $31.99

This is the Mad Hippie Microdermabrasion Facial (look at that cute little wooden spatula!). Micro-exfoliants join forces with 6 alpha hydroxy acids plus probiotics to brighten, soften, and smooth. Physical exfoliants, bamboo & volcanic ash, gently buff away dry and dull skin. Half a dozen AHAs, including glycolic and mandelic acid, offer a gentle chemical exfoliation that leaves you glowing. The probiotics soothe and nourish your skin.

Mad Hippie recommends this product be used up to 2x per week for an at-home spa experience. To use, simply massage into clean, damp skin in a circular, buffing motion. Leave on your face for 3 minutes, then rinse. Follow up with your moisturizer and voila – smoother, softer, brighter skin.

The Microdermabrasion Facial has a wonderful light scent to it (not overpowering at all). I didn’t find it to be too rough on my skin like some exfoliators can be. After rinsing, it really does make your skin feel amazing and super soft. I would not use this any more than the 2x per week recommended by Mad Hippie since it is a chemical exfoliant and I would be extra cautious if you have super sensitive skin.

Overall, this is a really nice addition to your skincare arsenal. I can see the jar lasting for quite some time since you only need to use it 1 or 2x per week, and you don’t need a large amount of it for it to be effective. Great product, Mad Hippie!
