Based on the date you are getting married, make sure to look out for one of the most coveted Wedding events of the year, New York Magazine’s Wedding Event. You can plan your whole wedding in one single night. The best vendors all gather at a venue to show off their wears to brides, grooms and their wedding parties. There are deals to be had and raffles to enter – it’s just an all around great time and the easiest way to plan your special day!
I went again this year to join in the festivities and I have to say it was a magical night that had me wishing I could plan my wedding day all over again.
The venue was changed this year to Capitale located on Bowery in NYC. The place was buzzing with excitement and energy and there was so much to see. I met a lot of different vendors this year and although it was tough, I have picked my top 3.
The first one happened to be where I started the evening off. The beauty lounge hosted by GlamSquad is a great option to get glammed up for your big day. I had the pleasure of meeting the Creative Director, Giovanni Vaccaro and he insisted I try out their services. I went over to makeup and then hair, within 15 minutes, I looked like a different person. My look changed from drab to fab and I was thrilled that I tried it. The GlamSquad will travel to you and for a reasonable price, they will do your hair and makeup for whatever event that you may have. The 2nd vendor I loved and thought was an amazing idea for any wedding was Brooklyn Coco & co. This company can customize a coconut with whatever you want it to say, crack it open & serve it for you to enjoy! There is something so satisfying about drinking coconut juice straight from a coconut. It gives you a happy healthy feeling. It is such a fun concept & will definitely make your wedding shine! The third is truly one of my favorites and I know I have mentioned her before, Designs by Ahn Floral Arrangements. Her arrangements always make me smile. She really has the best that I have seen in a long time and I always stop at her booth staring with my mouth open in awe. I do not have the dates of next year’s event, but I suggest you start looking for it around next February, as it usually falls in the March/April time frame. You will be happy you attended – it’s an easy stress free event that makes wedding planning enjoyable. You can be assured that it will be a memorable fun night and you will get more done than you could ever imagine.
