Maybelline has come out with a new eyeshadow palette for the holidays – The Graffiti Nudes Eyeshadow Palette. This palette is an Ultra exclusive and retails for $9.99. As of right now, there is a special free gift with purchase going on as well.
The Graffiti Nudes Eyeshadow Palette contains 12 eyeshadows. This palette is tailored in technicolor and is a bright and bold palette. These 12 eyeshadows are inspired from street art – containing shades from fierce fuchsia to trippy teal to bring out your inner urban artist.
In this palette, you get two shades that are perfect for highlighting the inner corner and brow bone (or even as lid shades). There are also four other traditional neutral shades. You also get a nice deep emerald green, a bright baby blue, a purple and a fuchsia. There is also a black as well as a deep purple blue shade. Some of these shades are super metallic and shimmery, others are just shimmery. The purple and fuchsia appear to be more of a satin finish. The black is matte. This palette does come with a dual ended foam eyeshadow applicator.
In the picture, I’m wearing the first shade in the bottom row on the lid, as well as the bronze and green shades in the far right of the top row. I used the fuchsia and the purple on the lower lash line. I used these products with an eye primer. I had to build them up a little but there was no fall out. The lasting power was great throughout the day. I didn’t experience any fading or creasing. The only thing I would’ve loved to see in this palette was a mid-toned matte brown shade for crease blending. Other than that, I love the fun and flexibility you can get out of this palette!
To apply these products, as I mentioned, I applied a regular eyeshadow primer and used synthetic brushes. Applying the more shimmery colors with your fingers works well too. If you use a colored base, the colors will really pop on your lids. For this look though, I wanted to show what the palette does on its own, with just a regular eyeshadow primer.
Make sure you check your local Ulta or www.Ulta.com online for this palette. It’s limited edition and will only be around for a short amount of time.
