While the clothing collection “Mad For Mod” hits Banana Republic today, I thought it was great to give our readers a sneak-peek into the newly inspired Mad Men Limited Edition Collection from Estée Lauder.
I have been not only a fan of the show, but also of the show’s costume designer, Janie Bryant, (whom tweeted that she already was “Mad” for the compact), so as soon as I started seeing images of this new collection, I knew I had to let you in!
I reviewed the last collection and adored each and every piece: those fluted lipsticks, vintage packaging and cabochon-ended compacts were just to die for!
In an exclusive partnership with the Emmy® and Golden Globe® award-winning AMC drama Mad Men®, Estée Lauder will introduce its second collection featuring three limited-edition makeup classics. The first Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection debuted in March 2012, timed with the premiere of Season Five, and the latest collection will launch March 2013 prior to the premiere of Season Six on April 7th.
The new collection features three products inspired by the late 1960’s beauty look portrayed by the leading ladies in the upcoming sixth season of Mad Men®.
− Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection See-Thru Blush ($50.00) in Light Show brings a flush of shimmering pink to the cheeks with one sweep over the cheekbones.
− Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection Rich, Rich Lipstick ($30.00) in Pinkadelic features a signature Estée Lauder formula that caresses lips in a nostalgic pink to bring a modern twist to the late 1960’s.
− Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection Nail Lacquer ($24.00) in Pink Paisley uses the signature Estée Lauder formula to introduce a new shade that brings glistening pink finish to finger tips.
The vintage collection channels its own 1960’s heritage with an original Estée Lauder paisley design inspired by a fusion of the art and fashion movements of the late 1960’s. The unique print features vibrant turquoise and retro yellow with the classic Estée Lauder gold, navy blue and white, a direct replica from the Estée Lauder Archives.
The Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection See Thru Blush in Light Show is packaged in a classic metal compact with turquoise push button clasp. The enamel design is decorated in the original late 1960’s print with golden accents. The compact is packaged in a leather-like gold pouch within an elegant set up box.
The Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection Rich, Rich Lipstick in Pinkadelic is encased in a fluted golden case with a leather-like gold pouch in a beautiful drawer-like box, a direct replica from the Estée Lauder Archives.
The Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection Nail Lacquer in Pink Paisley is packaged in a heritage inspired bottle with a vintage golden logo and is beautifully encased in an originally designed set up box inspired by the Estée Lauder Archives.
Set in the late 1960’s New York, the sexy, stylized and provocative AMC drama Mad Men® follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising firm Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, an ego-driven world where key players make an art of the sell. Mad Men® is produced by Lionsgate and will launch its sixth season on April 7, 2013.
BeautyStat readers, please note: The NEW Estée Lauder Mad Men® Collection will be available for a limited time beginning March 2013 at Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor and EstéeLauder.com. Mad Men® is a registered trademark of Lions Gate Television, Inc.
