Sleek eyes, sparkling top coat mascara (that is already SOLD OUT online!) and luxe lips all define the new Holiday 2013 Chanel Nuit Infinie De Chanel Collection.
This collection expresses the magic and mystery of an endless night. A sweep of bronze on the eyes along with a deep ruby-red lip makes for a seductive invitation to the season.
I went straight for the Limited Edition Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colours ($34.00 each) in La Precieuse (sampled), which is a vivid red and La Desiree (sampled), a true burgundy red. Truly two different looks in terms of red color, yet both make bold statements.
I also fell for the shimmering Limited Edition Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow ($36.00 each) in both Initiation (platinum bronze) and Fatal (silver purple). They shimmered on my skin so beautifully that every time I moved, light reflected off the color giving it new hues.
I am always a sucker for metallics; I loved the way the Limited Edition Mascara Gel Irise Sparkling Top Coat ($30.00) in Bronze Platine looked online, yet it was out-of-stock.
The Limited Edition Ombres Matelassees Eyeshadow Palette ($80.00) in Charming features soft beige, metallic beige, bronze khaki, bronze brown and dark matte purple. (I see more neutral colors as a trend for the 2013 Holiday looks, played up with a demure cheek and sultry lip.) Not to say that adding that bronze brown or dark matte purple wouldn’t make the perfect smoky eye. Of course it would!
For the face is the Limited Edition Joues Contraste Powder Blush ($43.00) in Accent, which is a luminous pink beige and adds just a touch of color to the cheeks. The Limited Edition Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder ($52.00) in Moonlight is a luminous peach beige for an overall glow.
Ligne Graphique De Chanel Liquid Eyeliner Intensity Definition ($34.00) is offered in Limited Edition Bronze this time of year, and it truly enhances the eye with its metallic bronze/khaki shade.
Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour ($34.00) comes in 3 NEW hues: Radieuse (Limited Edition, blue pink; sampled in middle), Indecise (shimmering pink beige) and Farouche (shimmering chocolate brown).
For nails, Le Vernis Nail Color ($27.00 each) introduces Rouge Rubis (Limited Edition; vivid red) and Accessoire (deep red brown).
Being that the sparkling mascara top coat is already sold out online, I urge you to look at your nearest Chanel counter (available at both department and specialty stores) and buy what you like! This collection is also available on Chanel.com.
