Even though the holidays are over, still embrace the winter season by adorning your tips with textured sparkles and covering your lids with fairy dust! Go bolder and brighter than you usually would with coppery, smoky gray eyes and flirty cheek colors in an array of poppy and punchy shades to choose from.
Lancôme recently sent me some items from their newest collection, which is filled with stunning sparkly shades of pinks and browns. I received 2 nail polishes and a top coat, 2 eyeshadows, and 3 blush palettes.
Lancôme Vernis in Love ($15.00) is a high potency nail lacquer. These polishes win the award for the best applicator brush in my book. The polishes glide on evenly and easily with just a few strokes. The brushes are thick and wide for that perfect application each time, smudge-free and totally shake-proof.
The color, 071 Etincelle D’Argent is pale gray with a blue undertone, while 520 Entincelle De Neige is a milky white. They glide on easily and have a textured effect on the nails, even after applying the topcoat. They are pretty as nail colors, or as nail art accents for funky tips. The 010M Cristal Quartz top coat has a high-shine finish. I wore the polishes for over a week and they barely chipped, also making my nails firm.
The Color Design Sensational Effects Eyeshadows ($20.00) give off ultra-smooth color with expressive finishes and a sleek sliding compact. They glide on easily and are completely blendable.
All That Sparkles 609 is a sparkly gunmetal, while All that Glistens 312 is a neutral brown with a touch of sparkle. They can be used lightly with one sweep, or layered (dry or wet) for a truly bold eye.
The Blush Subtil Palettes ($42.00) contain a set of 3 colors: 2 blushers and a highlighter. They have a smooth finish and add buildable color and glow to the face. Oil-free and oil-absorbing, they are ideal for all skin types.
The Menage a Trois Flush #375 is a set of cold pinks with cool undertones: purplish pink blush with a pale pink highlighter. I would recommend this set for a woman with a light to pale skintone.
Menage a Trois Glow #152 is a palette of rosy mauve blushes with a pale pink highlighter. The neutral pinks are perfect for the daytime to add a little glow to your skin.
Menage A Trois Kissed #335 is the bolder palette, filled with bright peachy-pink blushes and a pale pink highlighter. It is great for a night out, especially to warm up the face.
The buildable colors make cheeks pop, and they look stunning on olive and dark skintones. These palettes are perfect to color and contour for an all-day glow. Swirl the 3 shades together and dab on the cheeks. For more color, apply one blush at a time, or both, and finish with the highlighter.

Overall, this collection is a romantic twist on winter chic. The best part — these colors can be worn beyond the winter months and can be taken well in spring!
