I’ve been hearing so much hype about the new BB creams, so I was eager to try the New Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream ($12.99). Olay claims that it will eliminate “blotches and imperfections,” and that it contains five skin-perfecting benefits, plus a SPF 15. They also say that the cream “hydrates for up to 24-hours with a splash of sheer color.”
I used this product a few times and thought it more than lived up to its claims. The cream creates and excellent base for any product you want to add over it (i.e.: foundation, blush, bronzer, powder) — and it is indeed hydrating.
It did a great job on its own too; the coverage is good enough so that you can skip the foundation and go straight to the blush/bronzer step of your routine. And at $12.99, it is very well-priced and delivers a lot of bang for your buck. My sole gripe is about the SPF, which is only 15. I prefer an SPF of at least 30. I hope Olay will consider reformulating this excellent product and upping the SPF.
