Makeup Review, Swatches, Shades: New York Color Show Time Lip Balm Spring 2016

NYC New York Color has released a new line of Show Time Lip Balms, $1.99, which are tinted lip balms that keep your lips super moisturized and include Vitamin C.

These balms are available in six shades: Cool Nude, Trendy Peach, Popular Pink, Fashionable Fucshia, In Vogue Red, and Modern Coral. As you can see from the photograph of the swatches, some of the shades are a little more pigmented than others.

I really think the packaging of these products is very cute. The outside color of the lipstick tube matches the color of the lipstick. So, if you are digging around in your purse or if you are trying to find a certain color in your makeup bag, these lippies are easy to identify just by looking at the outside packaging. Another plus is that the caps are clear, so you can see the color of the lipstick as well. The packaging appears to be rather sturdy. The caps also fit snugly onto the tube, which means they are less likely to fall off while in your purse.

In the photograph, I am wearing the shade Popular Pink – a beautiful, light, bubble gum pink color. I actually think all of these shades would be perfect for every day wear. They are comfortable on the lips and in fact very moisturizing. If you are looking for a long-wearing lip color, you will want to try a different formula. However, if you are looking for a lip balm with a hint of color, then this would be the product for you!
