Natural beauty ruled the runways for NYFW. It was a fresh take on seasons past where we saw lots of out-of-this-world makeup looks.
Dr. Jart+ partnered with Opening Ceremony for the FW ’16 show to restore the models’ natural glow and prep their skin for the radiant look the designers envisioned.
First, the Dermaclear Micro Water was applied to remove makeup and excess oil. To rejuvenate dehydrated skin due to the frigid temperature, the Water Replenishment Prescriptment Mask was applied to the face and left on for 5 minutes to replenish moizturization. Lastly, the new Water Drop Hydrating Moisturizer (launching May 2016) was applied to the skin for instant brightening and to create a dewy finish – all while prepping the skin for makeup application to follow.
Dr. Jart+ Dermaclear Micro Water is formulated with active hydrogen water, which is made up of smaller molecules than water, enabling cleansing ingredients to combine more densely to remove makeup, debris, oil and water-based residue easily. Packed full of minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium and silicic acid, the Dermaclear Micro Water also tones and brightens the skin. Available at Sephora.com

At Leanne Marshall, the Aveda team drew inspiration from the vibrant red carpet worthy gowns for this seasons beauty look. Models walked the runway with fresh dewy skin, an ombre smokey eye diffusing burgundy into a rich autumn yellow, paired with a matte nude lip.
“The girls this season are aristocratic nomads. There’s this idea of the effects of the
elements on their face – subtly, wind burned skin and beautifully chapped lips.”

The Inspiration:
“The muse for the look and the collection is a dancer/artist. She’s always on-the-go, true to herself and holding onto that youthful, playful spirit in a grown-up world.” – Jay Manuel

The romantic updos at Marchesa were paired with natural makeup. Bobbi Brown created a velvety finish for skin with pink stained lips.
At Tommy Hilfiger, makeup artist Pat McGrath went over taupe cream shadow with flecks of glitter then stained lips just slightly with a beautiful burgundy lipstick.
