I think I know what you’re thinking… the same as I am! An affordable Moroccan oil is hitting mass, retail and drugstore shelves by July 2012 from L’Oréal Paris for $12.99?!

The desire for smooth hair and the increasing popularity of professional straightening and salon oil treatments has resulted in women asking for a full range of products that protect, smooth and maintain results. Well, look no further, L’Oréal has the ultimate hair ritual for head-turning, smooth hair.

EverSleek Precious Oil Treatment contains natural oils that smooth the hair cuticles for long-lasting frizz control. This new product is an expansion of the EverSleek collection and has argan oil from Morocco and does more than just smooth frizz — it revitalizes dry, frizzy hair to a smooth, softer look and is sulfate-free. It can be used day or night and is perfect for all hair types. It’s lightweight and does not feel greasy to the touch.

I sampled this only on site as part of the L’Oréal Paris Summer Launches event, and if felt light-to-the-touch, smelled delicious (thanks to vanilla and amber) and left my hair looking smooth and shiny. I needed it especially that night as it was rainy and my blow-out began to look frizzy. I was attracted initially to the turquoise color on the top of the bottle and then soon realized the argan-oil-from-Morocco tie in and gave myself a few dollops!

As with other oils on the market, when applying, avoid roots; place a small amount in your hands and rub them together, work the oil throughout your hair and then focus on the ends. Do not rinse out. I am a huge fan of Moroccanoil and very pleased to see a more affordable version soon to be on the shelves come July!
