Dinair has always remained in my mind as one of the first airbrush makeup brands. With over one-hundred airbrush makeup shades, they are giving both men and women the option to apply cosmetics via an airbrush tool for a more flawless, professional coverage. You can stencil on eyebrows; pop on some blush; plump up your lip line — all via an airbrush system.
Dinair was designed by the brand’s president and founder Dina Ousley over twenty-five years ago for the demanding needs of film, television and also high definition. Nowadays, I see more and more products being created with HD definition in mind, as the clients who use them appear more flawless and have an overall even tone as seen on our TV screens.
I ordered the leopard printed compressor and noticed Dinair offered many different patterns for the actual compressor itself. The cosmetic end of Dinair is not only being used on the runways, but also offers an option for the paramedical field: to act as a camouflaging tool. I remember an ad for Kat Von D when a similar system was used to conceal all of her tattoos. One can get extremely creative with color and stencil designs, or merely decide to use it for airbrushed foundation.
I used to use a large compressor many years ago while studying at LaGuardia High School designing t-shirts and such — and this was a quiet ‘prrr’ compared to what I used in the 90’s. Not only in size, as that is an obvious observation, but in SOUND. This airbrush tool is so quiet and precise that once I held it in my hand I remembered exactly how to use it.
I watched the training dvd that was enclosed with my Personal 4 Speed Pro Makeup System Kit which helped me to get a better idea of how to point and spray once again. You can spray the tiniest amount on blemishes, or even airbrush or tan your entire body! I used a honey beige color in my brush and made my hand a warmer tone similar to Dinair’s Airtan! No more standing with those hair nets and turning around.
Within this I can now apply an even tan or overall foundation when I feel the need to. I added a drop of Dinair’s moist and dewy product to the honey beige color as this season’s wacky weather has made my skin drier than usual. As you can see in the photo, I went from quite pale to a more golden color — although not orange. Next, I will experiment with it on my face, but, for now, I applied it to my hand. I am also excited to try the Airtan for an overall hint-of-color look to my skin, which shall be rub resistant, long-lasting and silicon-free. It is not tested on animals…only celebrities! I must add that it’s great for traveling as it weighs in at less than one pound!
