There are beauty inventions and beauty indispensibles. As Clinique nicely points out, there are over 300,000 pores on our face that double in size from the ages of 25 to 50.
I don’t know about you, but I always feel that my pores are often the bane of my existence. This is why I’ll never look in the magnifying mirror at a hotel. And of course, I don’t even have one at home.
So, when the new Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum crossed my desk, I was curious to see if it would live up to the claim: diminish the appearance of pores while strengthening skin’s surface structure over time.
It works in three ways:
1) By supporting cell maturation using padina pavonica extract;
2) Balancing oil through “smart” technology (minimizing sebum production and using soy proteins and coconut acid to seek out areas that have excess sebum);
3) Maintaining smooth skin using salicylic acid and glucosamine.
The correcting serum worked well on my skin virtually overnight. It is meant to be used all over the face (or you could just target your large pore areas with a dab or two). Obviously, it’s very lightweight and sensory, and it would work well as a primer. This promises a smooth, nearly poreless look in two weeks. We are only on day two and are beginning to see smoother skin.
We give this one two thumbs up because of its value as well. $39.50 is a good deal! To read our review of Clinique’s Repairware Laser focus, click here.
