They had me intrigued just by the name: Blue Plasma. What is it made of? What can it do for my skin? What makes it blue? Well, read on to find the answers…
Blue Plasma ($95.00), as I found out, is a non-acidic daily peel that does not cause irritation, redness or damage to the skin. From the first application, it easily absorbed within minutes right into my skin. I normally use Bliss That’s Incredi-‘peel’! Spa-Resurfacing Glycolic Resurfacing Pads on a nightly basis, and wanted to review this product as it’s $95.00 for 2 fluid ounces.
It is considered a cosmeceutical, meaning that it has the highest level of active ingredients without going for an actual peel in an office setting.
It features a salmon egg color (although it has the color of a Robin’s egg), which is a bio-specific peeling agent that tackles ONLY dead skin cells. It also contains extracts of magnolia bark, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent — and is soothing to the skin. It also contains copper, which is said to promote skin health, but contributes to the natural, beautiful, blue color of the formula.
Ideal for all skin types and conditions, I am eager to see if my skin looks brighter over time. I know that clinical studies showed results within as little as 3 days, and I am looking forward to more luminous, radiant skin. After 4 weeks, I should expect to see dramatically brighter skin with improved skin surface.
Dr. Perricone MD recommends applying Blue Plasma daily after proper cleansing. Plasma can be applied during the day or night. No rinsing is required. I love a good home treatment, and I am truly looking forward to sharing my journey with you — so I will report back in a month!
