Spring 2011 is definitely punctuated by shades of blue and gray, according to Dior. We reviewed the spring makeup that is Avenue Montaigne recently, full of iconic grays and plush pink.
This time, the spotlight is on the nail lacquers. Check out the rich gray tones of one of spring’s “IT” colors, Gris Montaigne which reflects the shades of PARIS:
What we love about the shade is that it is extremely rich and thick: you only need one coat to give your nails a glossy look, and two coats to make them look extremely regal. Our only gripe is the rectangular shaped brush, which makes corners a little bit hard to reach (it’s a thick brush). But we can see this shade pairing beautifully with just about any dress or pair of jeans. Pair it with a nice set of gray boots or pumps and use those as your accessories for the season. $21 at Dior.com
Another shade we love from the spring line is Bond Street:
This rich shade reflects the tones of LONDON. Bond Street may well be my favorite polish of the season. It reflects Eton blazers and chic emblems. It is true couture for the nail. All you need is two coats of this elegant peacock/cobalt blue muse and you’re truly set. This nail lacquers lasts at least a week, and is priced at $21 at Dior.com
