With Halloween over, I went from scrubbing off lots of makeup and glitter to applying another mask: OROGOLD 24K Deep Tissue Rejuvenation Mask, made with gold, lavender and collagen. One with the Midas touch and sticker shock of $1,398!
I reviewed OROGOLD’s line when the brand announced Denise Richards as their spokesperson this past summer, and this time around, reps for the brand who know my love of skincare, lavender and anti-aging products sent me this!
The 24K Deep Tissue Rejuvenation Mask comes in a set with a Collagen Eye Renewal Mask that you apply under your eyes (but I’m not reviewing those, just the ENTIRE face mask).
It’s used to nourish deep down into the skin’s tissue and repair signs of aging by rejuvenation. This mask replenishes, relaxes and gives skin a boost of vitamins, minerals and long-lost vital ingredients that make you not only look but feel radiant.
CAUTION: This mask is STRONG, so much so that it must only be used for at least 15-minutes, once EVERY 4 WEEKS!
I struggled to open the sealed foil package (maybe out of fear for breaking the mask), but, once I got it, it felt slippery and soaked in liquid inside the tray. It reminded me of those goo-slime toys (but this is definitely not goo – it’s liquid gold!)
This mask is stunning, formulated with lavender and collagen — which made it super-slippery, so take care when handling. Instructions say to wash your face thoroughly (which I did) and then apply the mask. I gently placed it on my face, ensuring that the cutouts aligned with my eyes/nose/mouth and relaxed.
Before
My eyes did burn a bit, but, then again, I was taking Before/After shots for this review and wasn’t exactly sitting still, lol. My face tingled and then my favorite scent (lavender!) relaxed my senses, as well as my facial muscles – so I left it on for 20-minutes!
Afterwards, my face felt soft, smelled AND looked amazing. Now, getting this as a gift is amazing and I’m all for it, but the price is astronomical. I’ve seen and heard what some women resort to in their quest for younger-looking skin, so I guess this reusable mask isn’t so bad if you add up spa visits.
After
I’m 36-years young (sleep, water and nice products DO help) and would rather use amazing products. I believe in getting what you pay for when buying skincare products than resorting to plastic surgery (just my opinion, but to each his own!)
I actually use OROGOLD products and have friends as testers as well, and the end results are amazing.
