The soap is ideal for all skin types and many people find that natural goat’s milk soap helps skin issues – dryness, cracking, acne, and more. Farm Maid uses only fresh goat milk (25% per bar) and high quality vegetable oils to create a well-balanced bar with great lather and excellent moisturizing properties.
I was sent 10 different soaps (though there are many others available) to sample, as well as other products. Each bar weighs approximately 3.5 oz and costs $5.00.
- Eucalyptus Mint
- Huckleberry
- Oatmeal & Honey
- Skin So Clear
- Black Pepper, Citrus & Oakmoss
- Lavender, Tea Tree, Orange & Oats
- Lavender
- Cucumber & Citrus
- Black Raspberry Vanilla
- Jasmine, Rose & Sandalwood
These are excellent bars that live up to their promise – luxurious yet gentle soaps with great lather and unusual combinations of fragrance and ingredients. I also like the marbelized bars – those swirls of color were very pretty and the bars looked so attractive in my bathroom soap dish.
The Lavender, Tea Tree, Orange & Oats and Oatmeal & Honey were mildly exfoliating. The Cucumber & Citrus, Lavender, and Eucalyptus Mint were refreshing and invigorating. The Black Pepper, Citrus & Oakmoss had an appealing, masculine scent. The Black Raspberry Vanilla and Huckleberry smelled good enough to eat (but no, I resisted!).
Arnica Muscle Rub | $11-$50
There wasn’t much online information available but it promised relief from pain, arthritis, and sore muscles. I tried it after an especially strenuous gym workout when both my arms and legs felt sore. The roll-on dispenser (handy for travel or tucking into a gym bag) made the application easy and I loved the fresh, minty scent. The rub created its own heat and a very slight tingling sensation. And it really did alleviate the muscle soreness quickly and effectively – love this product and intend to make it a regular!
Old fashioned, natural ingredients are said to “help retain and add moisture.” The cleaning power of orange oil, the antimicrobial properties of tea tree oil, and the cool feeling of peppermint oil is said to result in “a hand washing experience beyond compare.” Orange Blast Foaming Goat’s Milk Soap contains saponified oils of coconut, soy, and palm, as well as goat’s milk. This product contains no sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate, both of which can strip skin of moisture causing dryness and itching. Because this is an all natural product, some separation may occur but shaking will resolve that. I found this product to be a delightfully fragrance, luxurious foaming soap that left my hands clean and soft.
Loaded with goat’s milk, shea butter, and vitamin E, this lotion promises to soak into skin quickly and leave no greasy residue. The winter always hits my skin hard so I was eager to try this lotion. I’m happy to report that it is an excellent product – super moisturizing and softening, but as promised, nothing greasy was left behind. I also like the handy packaging – it’s got the portability of a tube, but the flat cover allows you to stand it up in the bathroom or on your dresser.
