I first learned of BITE Beauty through a Birchbox sample nearly a year ago and have witnessed this brand bloom within the cosmetic industry
Tangelo
Cherry
I had the pleasure of sampling two new shades of their Lush Lip Tints ($24.00) in Tangelo (a shade that is trending everywhere I look) and Cherry. Six shades are available including four others: Lychee, Watermelon, Raspberry and Blackcurrant. Packed with a double dose of resveratol, which is housed in the “B” shape found in the middle of the actual lip tint; these are age-defying lip tints that deliver the antioxidant equivalent to 10 glasses of red wine to regenerate the skin and fight free radicals. The Lush Lip Tints bear the brand’s signature and also contain a soft pearl highlighter in the center to make lips look plump and healthy. I found them to apply easily and they delivered a natural, glossy look to my lips. Both shades kept their color and shine for hours throughout the day.
Left to Right: Rhubarb, Tangelo and Cherry
Fact: BITE Beauty launched in March of 2011 at fifty Sephora locations in North America with six categories: Luminous Crème Lipstick ($24.00), High Pigment Matte Pencil ($24.00), Lip Rouge ($22.00), SPF 15 Sheer Balm ($19.00), Lip Shine ($20.00), Vitamin Gel ($18.00) and Superfruit Butter ($18.00). As of May 2012, the brand has expanded to over one-hundred and five stores across North America. Also available in the UK through the flash sale site, Cocosa. In March 2012, BITE Beauty launched treatment products: Whipped Cherry Lip Scrub ($18.00) and a Spring 2012 color collection of High Pigment Matte Pencils. In May of this year, BITE Beauty introduced these Lush Lip Tints as well as a Line & Define Primer ($22.00).
Nicole wearing High Pigment Matte Pencil in Rhubarb
I am a fan of their High Pigment Matte Pencil ($24.00) and sampled Rhubarb (pictured above) which can also be found in select Sephora stores and at www.sephora.com. I find pencils easy-to-use as they line my lips and fill them in. This pencil had a beautiful tonality to it and lasted for hours. No need to reapply, which made me want to try the other shades. Women apply lipstick an average of five times a day, so the less I need to apply, the more practical I think a product is, plus the pigment is strong and I don’t have to feel insecure as it faded or wore off. That makes it a performance product to me!
