Review/ Photos: Bobbi Brown’s Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15

Mineral Makeup is at every turn from your local drug store to the high end retailers. I have tried many but not like Bobbi Brown’s Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15. A lot of other name brands that I have tried, tended to leave my skin looking dry in patches and dull. This new formula provides translucency and also shine free coverage. Developed with customizable coverage in mind, this product can be applied to give a light to medium coverage or a medium to full coverage depending on whether you use a face brush or powder puff for application. Powder puffs tend to pick up more product and allows it to be worked into the skin vs. a face brush that allows the powder to be buffed and blended into the skin. It is available in nine different skin-tone correct shades and the light to medium seemed perfect for my skin tone. I prefer using the Face Brush for a weightless, natural look on my skin but also like the idea of this product’s adaptability for full coverage as an night time option.

Bobbi Brown Mineral Powder

The formula in the product consists of vitamins and minerals that moisturize and condition the skin leaving the finished look silky and smooth. This formula absorbs excess oil on the surface of the skin to deliver a healthy, natural look. This mineral formula contains a unique complex that bonds both Vitamin C and E together to act as an natural antioxidant. Glycerin, Soy Bean Extract and Ceramides help soften and smooth skin. I believe it’s the Sodium Hyaluronate that prevents dryness and caking as other mineral make up seemed to highlight my dry areas and this product still manages to moisturize my skin.

Available at all Bobbi Brown counters for $ 38.00 or go to www.bobbibrown.com. The Face Brush is $ 42.00 and the Powder Puff is $ 15.00.
