Yes, I love Bobbi Brown. And every time I think that she has done it all, she manages to outdo herself! I LOVE this collection. The Desert Twilight Collection is a gorgeous sunset, southwestern infused color collection; the shades mimic the sky at sunset. Beautiful plums, soft heathers with a shot of turquoise!
I always like the brush collections that Bobbi creates. This Mini Brush Set ($55.00) comes in a gorgeous silver and turquoise case with four brushes: a blush, eye sweep, eye shader and an ultra-fine eyeliner brush. The brushes are packed really well and feel very steady in your hands, as the handles are heavier than normal (and flat), so you can get a nice, steady application!
Bronzed Heather
Evening Rose
Twilight
Honeysuckle
Next up, Shimmer and High Shimmer Lip Glosses ($23.00) to enhance your natural color. There are four new shades for this collection: Twilight, which is a sheer, shimmery plum; Honeysuckle, a very sheer, shimmery beige-pink; Bronzed Heather, a deeper version of Twilight and last but not least, Evening Rose, an opaque plummy shade. All are beautiful shades to be worn alone or over your favorite lipstick color.
My standout product of this collection is the limited edition Bronzer/Blush Duo. ($36.00) This comes in one shade, which is a shimmery bronzer and a pink peony colored blush. My skin color is Beige in Bobbi foundations, and I find that these shades give me just the right amount of flush to my skin; I look as though I was on a boat for a few hours and got a really great warm, pinkish tan. I will be wearing this every day this summer for sure!
There is also a new limited edition Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner ($22.00) in this collection as well. This is where I plead to Bobbi to make this shade a permanent part of the collection! The shade is called Twilight Night Shimmer Ink. Think Espresso Ink mixed with Violet Ink, add a little bit of shimmer and you have this. It gives my hazel-ish eyes more pop. This color will look good on just about everyone (this will be the first product to sell out, I’m sure of it).
Last but not least in this amazing collection were the Nail Polishes ($18.00). Bobbi definitely makes a statement with two new limited edition shades in Twilight Shimmer and Turquoise. Her polishes are very long-wearing and look beautiful. I didn’t expect to like the turquoise shade as much as I did — it adds a nice touch to a very neutral color palette.
Two other products in the collection that I haven’t tried, but are in the collection at counter, are the Creamy Color for Lips & Cheeks ($20.00) in two popular shades, Honeyed Tea and Pink Truffle. When I worked at the counter, might I add, these were the top two shades of this product: works on every skin tone, and a great item to add in your bag when you’re out on the town. The other product is the Desert Twilight Eye Palette ($60.00). No one does palettes as good as Bobbi does; the palette contains eight shadows in warm tones which will define your eye in twilight shades. Available at select Sephora locations, major department stores and www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com.
So, tell me… Are you going to bask in the light this summer with Bobbi Brown?
