Cargo Cosmetics is one of my absolute favorite cosmetic lines! I was so excited to try out the Swimmables Longwear Matte Liquid Lipstick, $18 each. There are a total of six shades to choose from.

Sorrento
These liquid lipsticks are ultra matte and budge proof! They provide intense long wear color. The long-wear formula is high coverage, dries fast, and doesn’t smudge; it’s feather proof and does not settle into fine lines. The lightweight moisturizing texture feels comfortable on your lips. And the suede matte finish does not crack or flake on the lips.
The two shades that I have are Cape Town and Sorrento. In the photograph, I am wearing Cape Town. The packaging is pretty standard for a liquid lipstick. The applicator is a traditional doe foot applicator, which allows for precise application of the product. These colors are opaque with one application. The formula truly does dry down very quickly and it isn’t sticky at all. You do not need more than one layer and you only need the slightest bit of product to get an even application over both your top and bottom lips.
Unlikely other liquid lipsticks, these don’t feel overly drying on the lips. I was able to wear Cape Town throughout my entire work day, without having to reapply at all, despite the fact that I ate a salad for lunch with oil and vinegar dressing. For anyone who is obsessed with liquid lipsticks, you know it is truly amazing when your liquid lipstick survives eating a salad with an oily dressing! This product truly is waterproof!
I would say that these are by far my favorite liquid lipstick formula that I have tried so far, and I’ve tried quite a few. They did not leave my lips feeling dehydrated. The formula didn’t cake or flake off during the day. The next day after I wear a liquid lipstick, my lips often feel a little more dry than usual, but that didn’t happen with these liquid lipsticks by Cargo Cosmetics.
I think both of these shades are perfect for spring and summer. I love Cape Town because it is a beautiful mauve/pink. Sorrento is a great berry shade. The four other shades you can choose from are Montauk, Brighton, Newport, and Portofino.
