Elizabeth Arden is not your grandma’s brand anymore! I have always liked the Eight Hour Cream, however, the sage smell wasn’t one of my favorite attributes of the product. Well, we can rejoice, ladies — this new and improved version of a cult classic is now FRAGRANCE-FREE!
I have always liked this product. I use it everywhere: on my calloused feet, to nicks and scrapes. Also, it’s great for adding a glow to cheeks and eyelids. I love it for my body, as I suffer from eczema in the winter months and it seems to do the trick to getting rid of it. It also works wonders for windburn, chapped lips and every other part of the body. I can’t rave enough about this!
I wanted to know a little more information about this cult cream, so I did a little research and found out even more interesting tidbits. Eight Hour Cream was created more than seventy years ago by Miss Arden, and was the first product to bear her name. The name ‘eight hour’ takes its inspiration from a customer who claimed that the cream helped to heal her son’s scraped knee in just eight hours.
I always wondered, since the main ingredient was petroleum; how come the shade of the product was an apricot shade? Well, I found out its due to two ingredients, beta-hydroxy acid, which helps to exfoliate skin and vitamin E, which helps to calm irritated skin and protect from free radical damage.
So, those naysayers who refuse to try it because they they think its colored Vaseline are wrong. This product does way more! From moms and kids to makeup artists and models, this product is a MUST HAVE!
So, are you ready to heal that winter weary dry, chapped skin?
