Estee Lauder has a new line of cosmetics out called “The Estee Edit.” I have the Gritty Eye Palette and the Glow Face Palette, both $58.00.
The palettes are limited-edition and each contains 6 ultra-soft, highly pearlized shades with a very rich, creamy, and pigmented formula. The shades are formulated with tiny pearl particles for the most elegant, glistening sheen. The two palettes also contain great full sized mirrors and are magnetic, so they can be clicked together for easy portability.
The Gritty Eye Palette contains shadows which can give you intense depth and the ultimate smoky eye. You get six shades: Swerve (golden copper), Riff (champagne rose gold), Burn (burgundy bronze), Wavy (dark emerald), Mood (midnight black with multi-sparkle), and Trip (deep iridescent blue).
The Glow Face Palette features six universally flattering highlighter shades, which can be used on your cheeks or your eyes. These colors cover every skin tone and can even be mixed and matched to customize your own. You get six shades: Snowlit (platinum), 14K Glow (champagne), 1st Light (soft pink), Gleam (peachy pink), Ray (golden bronze), and Beachy (burnished copper).
In the photograph, I used Snowlit (the first shade in the top row) to highlight the tops of my cheekbones and Ray (the first shade in the bottom row) to bronze around my forehead. On my eyes, I used Riff (the second shade in the top row) all over my eyelid and I used Burn (the first shade in the middle row) on the outer portion of my eyelid and blended that shade into my crease as well. I used Wavy (the second shade in the middle row) all over my lower lash line for a pop of emerald.
Overall, I absolutely love the high shine that these shades give. They are richly pigmented, as you can see from the swatches. Estee Lauder truly came out with two palettes that will work for every skin tone. I don’t think there is a single shade that you will be disappointed in.
These are the first products that I have tried from The Estee Edit line. I’ve fallen in love with these palettes and now I can’t wait to try out additional products from the rest of the line!
