On September 5th, Aerin Lauder officially launched her beauty collection available at select retailers and both Aerin.com and Esteelauder.com. A small note was included with the elegantly packaged samples that to me, sums up the collection from Aerin herself. It reads:
The Aerin Essentials Collection is a carefully edited version of products women simply cannot live without. Aerin Lauder created the Essentials Collection to feature permanent must-have beauty items; she recognizes that life is all about multi-tasking. Because of this, Aerin feels that beauty products should reflect that. The Aerin Fresh Skin Compact Makeup ($48.00; available in 6 shades) is a buildable two-in-one foundation formula that also doubles as a concealer. For the next best thing to a rested-post-vacation-glow, sweep on the floral infused Aerin Pretty Bronze Illuminating Powder ($45.00; available in two shades and shown above). The pressed powder creates an overall radiant glow in a few easy strokes.
The Aerin Multi Color For Lips and Cheeks in Natural ($42.00 and sampled) is a universal, multipurpose shade that can be used on both lips and cheeks for a beautifully natural look. I dabbed just a small dollop onto the apples of my cheeks, and then glided the color along my lips. Each come beautifully packaged in a golden, linen-textured compact, which is then housed within a soft pink pouch featuring a golden Aerin logo. The physical look of this line is classic, chic elegance. The overall look of the line is both natural and illuminating.
Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner ($28.00 and sampled) in Nude creates a soft nude shade that would flatter any skin tone; you can also use it over any lipstick for a polished look as well. It contains intensive skin conditioners that help nourish and repair dry lips throughout the day. There is also Aerin Rose Hand and Body Cream ($40.00) that is intended to drench the skin with moisture and has a delicate rose scent. Tools are essential in applying makeup, and Aerin Brush Essentials ($148.00) include a foundation, concealer, bronzer, highlighter and lip brush in an Aerin signature patterned bag. A beauty set is never complete without a stylish bag: the Aerin Essentials Makeup Bag ($48.00) features the rose and white Aerin signature pattern and is perfectly styled to slip into any handbag if touch-ups are needed.
