With the recent snowfall throwing a serious monkey wrench in my makeup game, I’m missing spring big time. Not that I’m exactly looking forward to the coming allergy season, but I am more than willing to trade the mundane winter blahs for some spring brightness! With many more weeks of winter ahead, a girl can either hibernate or use makeup to combat those dreaded blues.
And that’s where Clinique‘s new Hello Cheekbones collection comes in handy. It proves to instantly lift gloomy spirits. Boasting delightful hues and shimmering effects, it helps dazzle up any complexion, so I was more than eager to give these treats a test drive.
First inside my package was the Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palette ($32), which contains three distinct shades to help you achieve flawless cheeks. You can use separately to color, contour, or highlight your cheeks, but you can also blend together all the shades for a natural looking glow.
And now it’s time for that glorious contouring action. Starting off with no makeup (#nofilter), I simply applied some foundation and was ready to get this show on the road. I’m no Kardashian when it comes to contouring application, so you can imagine I just wanted to give my face a boost of warmth without looking too “done.”
Applying the powder onto my face, I blended all shades inside the palette for a healthy and clean looking glow. I love how natural the finish was upon application.
To enhance your glow even more, use either the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour ($21) or the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight to get your cheekbones bronzed and gorgeous.
I’m neither blessed with killer cheekbones nor have samurai contouring skills, so I pretty much improvised when it came to using this duo. But my talent aside, I am obsessed with the amazing effects these two products gave my skin.
