Looking for the perfect smoky eye you can wear day or night? How about a deep winterized lip color and luminous skin? Our very own Dawn Santamarina created the perfect eye and lip look against a gleaming complexion with new cosmetic and skincare releases from Artistry. This might just be your go-to holiday look. So check it out!
Using the Artistry Little Black Dress EyeShadow Palette, I was able to get a gorgeous plum/purple eye look for winter. I was able to use all of the colors to create a subdued, smoky eye look. However, this palette is also suitable for a night out.
TIP: Simply apply a black or white base before you apply the appropriate colors to really make them pop. I found these eyeshadows to be soft and pigmented. They are not overly pigmented to where you have to be careful when applying them to your lid, so they would be perfect for a beginner who is just starting out with makeup. My favorite shade is Candlelight (the second shade from the left), which is what I put on the inner 2/3 of my lid. It has a really nice duo chrome finish to it.
The Artistry Little Black Dress Collection Black Eyeliner Pencil is the perfect black eyeliner with a smudge brush on one end. This eyeliner is pigmented and creamy. It glides effortlessly onto the waterline and remains there throughout the day; it did not smear underneath my lashes or into the corners of my eyes!
The gold packaging of the Artistry Signature Lip Colors are from the original line and the black packaged lipsticks are from the sheer line. Overall, both formulas are incredibly creamy and are not drying on the lips at all. I was surprised with the color pay-off regarding the Sheer Lip Color, since the color is easily buildable in just a few swipes. The sheer lipstick shade I tried was Red Kiss, a beautiful, vibrant red that is totally work-appropriate.
The regular lipstick shades that I tried are Rich Cocoa and Nutmeg — both great winter colors. Rich Cocoa has a bit of a shimmery/bronzed sheen to it, but it’s not overbearing. I really love the smart packaging of these lipsticks — they twist shut and lock so the lipstick will not open in your purse! Genius!
Lastly, the products that I’ve tried from Artistry’s Ideal Radiance skincare line are impeccable. The Illuminating Cleanser is perfect. It’s thick and creamy but suds up very easily. It smells fresh, clean and slightly floral — not overpowering in the least. It helps even your skintone and treat visible dark spots and discolorations.
The Artistry Ideal Radiance Spot Corrector is great to apply in the evening or in the morning before makeup application. It aids in correcting dark spots, discoloration and hyperpigmentation.
The Artistry Ideal Radiance UV Protect SPF 50+ is one of the few sunscreen lotions for the face that I actually enjoy! It has a very thin consistency (you shake the bottle prior to use) and it smells great! It doesn’t smell like sunscreen at all. It soaks into the skin quickly and does not leave a white cast on your skin when you are taking a flash photo. Neither product caused my makeup to breakdown or deteriorate quicker throughout the day. Yay!
