Today, I’m going to share with you three fabulous products from the Kevyn Aucoin line!
I was very excited to see this Kevyn Aucoin eyeshadow palette called The Featherlights Palette. It contains five eyeshadows: a buttery cream shade, a beautiful iridescent pink shade, a cool brown, a mid-toned green with shimmer, and a dark brown with shimmer. As you can tell from the swatches, these eyeshadows aren’t overly pigmented but they aren’t underwhelming either. They make for a perfect day-to-day trio that can easily be built up for a night time look. The shadows blend very well.
The lip gloss in Starlight is a beautiful every day shade. It’s a peachy pink with a lot of shimmer. It’s great to put in the center of your lips over your favorite lipstick to really highlight the center of your lips for a full, pouty lip. The lip gloss isn’t sticky at all. As a result, you will find yourself applying more frequently. I, for one, don’t mind because I’m not a fan of sticky lip gloss. This formula is smooth, creamy and highly pigmented. It’s everything that I would personally want in a lip gloss!
The cream highlighter in Halo is a very interesting shade. It looks white in the pan but when swatched on the hand, it takes on a sort of iridescent pink/lavender kind of tone. It’s very beautiful but a little difficult to get it to transition onto the skin. This highlighter doesn’t contain any shimmer, it’s more of a satin finish. This is definitely a more natural highlighter. For those of you who want a super shimmery and super noticeable highlight, I would check out some of the other highlighters in the Kevyn Aucoin line. If you are looking for a natural, cool toned highlight that will leave you looking naturally radiant, then I would definitely check this one out!
In the photograph, I am wearing all of the shadows from the quint. I used the cream shade as a highlight and inner corner color, the pink shade on the lid, the dark brown on the outer portion of my lid and outer portion of my lower lash line, the green shade on my lower lash line, and the mid-toned transition shade in my crease. I think this is a perfect every day look and the colors aren’t too overwhelming. I am also wearing the highlighter on the top of my cheekbones as well as the lip gloss. I love the look.
