Lancôme’s Absolue L’Extrait Ultimate Eye Contour Collection ($250.00) is a “visibly transforming eye balm-elixir with the massaging applicator” and an “innovative eye mask” in the same package.
REVIEW: Lancôme Visionnaire Eye Advanced Eye Contour: Applicator Massages, Treats Dark Circles, Wrinkles
According to Lancôme, these paired products were “specially designed and created by Lancôme’s laboratories” and they “combine our Lancôme’s> most precious and powerful ingredients, with a custom-made application tool for a unique sensorial experience.”
Additionally, the “balm-to-elixir texture fuses with the skin, leaving it feeling nurtured, deeply hydrated and more comfortable.”
And if that’s not enough, the “innovative eye mask, made from an exclusive bio-cellulose (other key ingredients are Pro-Xylane and Lancôme Rose Native Cells), leaves the skin feeling divinely fresh.” Used together, the eye balm-elixir and cooling eye mask are said to provide visible results.
Lancôme suggests using the product for 6 weeks, but I tried it for 3 before writing my review. First, I used the teardrop-shaped under eye masks for 10-minutes, twice a week as directed; I just loved how they felt (so pampering and luxurious!), and how well they adhered to the skin, so I could go about my business while they were on.
Next, I used the cream, a dreamy, pale pink concoction that smelled of roses — heaven! — twice a day. I liked the tool that came with it — a spatula-like head on one side and a faceted head on the other. At night, I ran the head under warm water; in the morning, under cool to rev up my tired skin.
Now, anyone who has read my reviews knows I am pretty skeptical when it comes to very high-priced products, because I often feel that while they are good, the results do not justify those prices; I find that you can get the same results with more modestly priced alternatives.
But this product is exceptional! I really felt that my delicate under eye area was soothed and calmed by the combo. The puffiness I usually see was definitely improved, the skin just felt so much tauter and stronger.
For $1,200, you can get the Absolue L’Extrait Black Crystal Light Edition. See how it was crafted HERE:
I did not see any difference in terms of dark shadows (mine are stubborn!) or fine lines disappearing, but I am willing to bet I will soon. And the results this duo did deliver have me sold. Yes, it’s pricey — but I’m worth it!
So, do you beauties think you’re worth it? Will you be splurging on this eye cream duo?
