Do you know what amaranth oil is? Well, neither did I but a little research yielded that Amaranth oil is a vegetable oil that is high in Vitamin E, and is a great moisturizer.

Amaranth oil is the highest plant-based source of squalene, which is known to have the benefits listed above. Squalene is also an effective moisturizer and helps to supply oxygen to cells.

This portable version of 5AM’s best-selling amaranth oil that I was sent for review was not meant to be ingested, but to be applied to the face and body. Rich in squalene, Vitamin E, and essential fatty acids, the product is said to produce “firmer, brighter, and smoother skin.” Amaranth oil is also said to help promote active skin recovery and rejuvenation while providing maximum hydration.

5AM’s Amaranth oil is cold-pressed, organic, naturally gluten-free, vegan and saves sharks.

I used as directed, applied a few drops of the golden, fragrant (it has an appealing grain-like scent) oil on my face before bed. I also used it on my legs, which tend to be dry. It absorbed and left my face feeling and looking fantastic—very fresh, soft and glowing. Legs were great too—bye bye dry, flaky lizard skin!

This is a great and multi-purpose product that’s conveniently packaged for gym, travel etc. and I will be making it part of my regular routine.
