Fall for Dick Page of Shiseido Cosmetics must invoke a fiesta of summer shades. His color palette drew from his inspired travels and the seven tri-color Luminizing Satin Eye Color Palettes are the must-have, coveted treasures of this collection. I would have never imagined some of these colors working together, but when the contrasting shades are mixed, the end result is beautiful and unexpected. For someone who wants to walk on the wild side, I suggest Tropicalia which consists of yellow, purple and green pigments – inspired bythe colors found in plant in a garden Dick discovered in Los Angeles. If one is wearing a neutral palette, a big Fall trend, this could be the pop in your look.
Neutral shades are included in this collection as well, for the traditionalist. Snow Shadow is one of my favorites, and inspired by a plane flying over Long Island, New York on a winter afternoon. The crisp white eye shadow in this trio is almost glacial, and adds luminosity to the other two blue gray tones. The colors work well together and act as your cheer leading squad to accent you gray winter looks.
The luxe brand also features a variety of other new products, including concealer, eyeliner, pore-minimizing primer and lipstick shades.
Shiseido Automatic Fine Eyeliner
A must-have product from Shiseido is the new Automatic Fine Eyeliner, which offers one of the easiest liquid liner applications I’ve tried. A thin or thick line is easily achieved as the liner glides on the lid.
Shiseido Refining Makeup Primer
The new primer is designed to reduce the visibility of pores and reduce any shine, providing a matte finish for your skin before you apply foundation. It comes out of the tube a creamy beige (suitable for all skin tones) and quickly dissipates clear as you rub it in. This primer fills fine lines, counteracts dullness, redness and uneven skin tone for a smooth, refined,bright and luminous complexion.
Shiseido Natural Finish Cream Concealer
The new Natural Finish Cream Concealer is available in five shades. It dries matte and heavy covering imperfections, and would work best on a more mature looking complexion.
Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipsticks
Originally introduced in 2009, created by Artistic Director Dick Page, Shiseido has five new shades of its Perfect Rouge Lipsticks. The lipsticks are creamy and smooth – a texture most appreciated in the fall/winter months when lips become so susceptible to cold and wind effects. Shown above is the shade called Devine.
Overall, the collection has a full range of beautiful, innovative and long-lasting products. The eye shadows are my favorite.They allow one to design a full spectrum of looks for any occasion or mood.
