The sudsy yet creamy Shine, Shine Go Away ($6.99) cleanser is part of Olay’s newly launched Fresh Effects line. Olay claims it has the “purifying power of a mask with the fresh feel of a daily cleanser.” Well, ladies, they certainly nailed that one! (see our post here on How To Prevent And Treat Oily Skin )
The cleanser, formulated with kaolin clay, created lots of lovely, refreshing bubbles and got my skin super-clean and smooth with no residual tightness or dryness.
And any of you who read my reviews know I am all about a bargain; I am so loving the price on this one! According to Olay, their newly launched {Long Live Moisture} Satin Finish Lotion ($12.99) provides all the rich hydration of a lotion, but the light, clean feel of a gel. Its main claim to fame is hydration without shine.
I used it a few times and thought it did what it said: skin was smooth, but not shiny. However, it needs to be used in conjunction with an oil-/shine-free foundation. And since it contains no SPF, you need to add that in — at least if you are moi! I don’t have a real issue with shine, but if you do, this is a solid product at a good price.
