(The Temptu Booth)
Some lucky beauty bloggers got a taste of what the 4th Annual Makeup Show NYC holds during its two day expose on May 17th and 18th at the Metropolitan Pavilion.
(James Vincent at the Mehron Booth– Mehron is known for its body paint)
We were pretty excited to hear The Makeup Show’s Directory of Artistry, James Vincent’s favorite products and exhibitors as he took us around the booths (most of them were still setting up) and talked about some great keynote speakers who will be present over the next two days.
(Lori Taylor, Prof. Artistry Relations Manager at Smashbox Cosmetics)
Some of the buzz worthy names who will be speaking include: Dany Sanz, Makeup For Ever Artist and Founder (a rare appearance); Gordon Espinet of MAC Cosmetics, Eve Pearl from her eponymous line of cosmetics and Linda Mason among many others.
Davis Factor, the great-grandson of Max Factor (who also created Smashbox Cosmetics), will present a keynote of the company on Monday, May 18 at 3:00pm.
Some booths you should definitely stop by include:
Temptu (check out their silicone base Airbrush Foundation)
Alison Raffaele Cosmetics, whose naturally inspired cosmetics have undergone a huge revamp.
Crown Brushes (no makeup artist should be without them)
MakeUp For Ever which is debuting an amazing new HD Foundation in the Fall
Smashbox Cosmetics which has fabulous primers, shimmery bronzers and the famous Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion
(Obsessive Compulsive Gloss, Eyeshadow in “Atmosphere” and Naked Cosmetics Eyeshadow)
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics which contain extremely high pigment in their products
(Stila’s Convertible Mascara and 24K Gloss)
Stila Cosmetics — if anything to meet new owner Lynn Tilton and to check out their 24k Gold Summer Collection which uses real gold particles
(Three Custom Color Lipstick in “Frangipani”)
Three Custom Color which can whip up just about anything for you, and whose lipsticks are rich yet highly emollient
There are so many others that the list could explode like a White Dwarf but this is a show you don’t want to miss.
