Tone (www.toneskincare.com) had a polished event on Monday evening in New York City, and One Tree Hill’s Sophia Bush was keynote speaker.
“You’ve always got to wash your face,” she said. “That’s a big thing. I should have a particular face wash I use but I don’t. I just have to wash my face all the time, even if it’s hand soap, even if I have to dilute shampoo with water when I’m at a hotel…whatever it is.”(Okay, we mortals have diluted shampoo and slathered it on our faces, but it was comforting to hear that Ms. Bush does so as well).
Tone is debuting the Almond Milk Nourishing Body Wash to complement its two existing body wash flavors: Tahitian Vanilla and Orchid Body; and a granule-enriched Sugar Glow Exfoliating Body Wash. The lines have real milk protein and a Vitamin A and E complex.
The washes do lather up like cumulous clouds and are very moisture rich and affordable ($3.99 each). They debut at drugstores and mass retailers in June.
Bush continues, “In my business, your skin is as important as your teeth or your body. The last thing I want to do is wear makeup when I’m out and about during the day. But living in LA, when you have men jumping out of parking garages with cameras, your face has to be flawless if you don’t want to wear makeup all day long.”
Germaphobes, take note: her skin is flawless. You can chuck those OCD pills down the drain because you’re doing something right.
