Summer travel can definitely take a toll on a sleek hairstyle. I jet set so much that even though I’ve packed every product known to man in my carry on, I always end up looking a bit like the Geico Cavewoman. And I hate frizz, but you know, frizz seems to be everywhere these days.
Gretta gave us some great travel haircare tips so you ladies can journey in style. Voila:
– Use a nourishing frizz fighting haircare like Dove Nourishing Oil Care Collection that has some frizz fighting ingredients like almond, coconut and light mineral oils. Hydration and Smoothing Creams are key.
– A slightly to the side ponytail works wonders for travel. You can also volume to the roots by teasing it with a brush, and don’t be afraid to leave it a bit “undone.”
– For a shorter do, a headband or bandeau is a great idea. Gretta says, “they are easy to pack and available in a variety of fabrics, colors, widths and price points to complement any look and budget.”
– Accessories should also pull double duty while traveling. A great tip! She says, “Just as an over sized scarf can punch up an outfit and double as a blanket, many elastics come in multiple styles and colors and can double as funky bracelets when they are not holding your hair in place.”
One of my goals is to rock some seriously great hair and updos while traveling. Yes, you heard me..updos. It would make for a great story and then some, and one of these days, I’m planning on it.
Do you pick multitasking products when you travel? Have anything else to add? Don’t be shy…leave us a comment below.
