Want to learn how to get dramatic, bold eyes? Michelle Phan was on hand giving out for tips at the Sephora Times Square store in NYC today to showcase the new Hypnôse Star Mascara Collection ($34.00) exclusively at Sephora and Sephora.com. While I had her attention, I did ask her about the recent ads showcasing the first comic heroine Betty Boop, alongside longtime Lancôme model Daria Werbowy, too.
In order to get the smoky eye shown in the ads, you’ll need the Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner ($29.50) in Noir, Color Design Eye Shadow ($18.00) in All that Sparkles, Hypnôse Star Mascara ($28.00) and L’Absolu Rouge ($29.50) in Absolute Rouge for the lips.
I applied my version of the look today upon meeting Michelle again and she said I did it all correctly… even my red lips! I was so proud to hear that — I blushed (in a Lancôme color, of course: Blush Subtil Palette ($42.00).

The Hypnôse Star Mascara Collection includes:
Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base
Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover
Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner in Noir
Hypnose Star Mascara in Intense Black
Both Lancome-USA.com and Sephora.com have helpful how-to videos to create the looks shown in the ad campaign; Sephora.com has a video on how to best apply the mascara, as it is a dual-sided wand! I used both the Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner and Hypnôse Star Mascara today and my eyes were the main focus, including my red lips. Something about a sparkly slate, gray color on the eyes makes you feel quite feminine and flirty, much like the comic heroine herself, Betty Boop!

Michelle Phan has a following of millions and if she says I did a great job on my makeup application, then I know I truly have learned so very much from her videos and other fellow makeup artists I have met along the way during my two decades in the beauty world!
