(Review) Everything but the Watercress Sandwiches: Jo Malone Launches Tea Fragrances

The weather may be too hot for scalding tea, but just the right temperature for the delightful Tea Fragrance Blends by Jo Malone.

Their five new tea inspired fragrances are like gems in our summer fragrance treasure chest. Like all her scents they are meant to worn alone or layered. All are refreshing and light , making them perfect for warm days. The five blends are Assam and Grapefruit, Sweet Lemon, Fresh Mint Leaf, Earl Grey and Cucumber, and Sweet Milk.

Jo Malone Tea Fragrances

These Limited Edition fragrances are inspired by the quintessential British tradition where everything — including the Changing of the Buckingham Palace Guard- stops for tea. These Limited Edition fragrances are completely unisex: there’s no cloying, overpowering note in any of them, and the boy in your life (or your Dad, for Father’s Day) will be able to enjoy the freshness and citrus notes of the bottles.

Developed by the perfumer Christine Nagel, these five scents contain the following notes:

Assam & Grapefruit: This is recommended for a truly “invigorating and upbeat” occasion. Wear it for a burst of energy. This contains notes of grapefruit, assam tea, patchouli, cardamom and almond.

Earl Grey & Cucumber: This is what I think of when I think of an “afternoon tea.” Considered “a playful twist on the British tradition of high tea,” this scent contains notes of bergamot, cucumber, beeswax, vanilla and musk.

Fresh Mint Leaf: A breath of freshness! This “refreshing” scent has notes of mint, basil, maté, cedar and musk.

Sweet Lemon: The most tropical of them, with pineapple, peach and cypress notes.

Sweet Milk: with a milk accord of star anise, almond and vanilla.

The fragrances are available now online and in select fine department stores for $55 each. For more dish on the monarchy, read about Kate Middleton’s Wedding Day Tips and Tricks here.
