I received the cutest, best packaged hair product line that a girl could hope for! The NEW Davines line is called More Inside, and the products really do perform to the best of their abilities!

The line is packaged in dainty patterned paper that matches the label on the product. Also, when opened, the paper has a message on the inside, telling you exactly (in one sentence) what the product will do for your hair. It also supplies you with an inspirational quote.

The formula in the line was formed in the Davines laboratories with the collaboration of three time winner of the British Hairdresser of the Year Award, Angelo Seminara.

I had never heard of Davines, so I wanted to give a brief synopsis of the brand before I reviewed how their products work. Davines was founded in Parma, Italy in 1983 by the Bollati family. Originally, they were set up as a laboratory, creating high-end haircare products for renowned cosmetic companies around the world.

After 10 years, they created their own line, Davines, sold exclusively to salons. Now, 20 years later, the line spans 75 countries, thousands of salons and hundreds of hundreds of hairdressers sell and use their products.

The products are made with simple, natural ingredient and are designed to be safe for hair.  The ingredients list of any one item reads like a health food store, including apricot butter, avocado oil and carrot extract — just to name a few. They also believe strongly in sustainability, which is shown from their packaging to how the products perform.

The new  product line, More Inside, consists of 16 products. I was sent 5 products to try: 4 from the More inside line and one from their essential haircare line. The products (remember that the names just bluntly state what the products do) are as follows:

This Is A Medium Hold Hairspray — It’s For Workable Shiny Looks
This Is An Oil Non Oil — It’s For Natural Tamed Textures
This Is A Sea Salt Spray — It’s For Full-Bodied, Beachy Looks
This Is An Invisible Serum — It’s For Satiny Tousled Looks
Oi/Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion

The products are pretty self-explanatory on what they do by their names.  The only one that is not descriptive is the Oi/Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion — used for anti-frizz on damp hair; it leaves a shiny finish on dry hair and helps prevent the hair from aging with strong antioxidant properties.

Before

I liked this line of products very much. It had a custom-made, homey feel to it that you don’t see in today’s products. This family-owned company was able to develop products that really are different, original and effective in making your hair look and feel its best.

After

All of the products worked great on my hair. They smelled natural and fresh, and worked exactly as described. I definitely recommend trying them or would suggest giving them as a gift.
