With fall all around us now, gorgeous shades of plum and burgundy, gold and taupe are the go-to choices for eye makeup looks.

Fall is quite possibly my favorite season. Though living in Hawaii doesn’t allow for seasonal changes, I love to switch up my makeup looks to incorporate colors that are on-trend for the fall and winter. So, I feel like I am experiencing the falling leaves and chilly nights along with the rest of the world.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills CATWALK Palette ($29.00) is the perfect fall accessory, and includes 10 show-stopping shadows in warm matte and shimmering neutrals that are perfect for bold eyes to everyday makeup looks that will stop traffic.

My Overall Thoughts
I love that I can create smoky eye and everyday wearable looks for work as well. This palette includes every color you need to bump up your looks for sultry, sexy makeup.

The brush included is perfect because it allows you to place color on the lid or into the crease thanks to its duo-ended design. The brush is perfect for sensitive eyes like mine, because I’m able to use it all over my lid and under eye area without irritation.
The bristles are soft and it’s easy-to-use and clean with minimal shedding. The packaging is definitely chic and I love the leopard print (one of my favorite animal prints!), as well as how compact it is. This will definitely be a palette I will enjoy traveling with.
The Shadows
The 10 gorgeous, pigment-rich shadows are definitely awesome. They are great for most skintones as the colors come in a wide variety of neutral shades. If you are a neutral eye makeup lover or one that loves bold, sexy looks, this would be a great palette to add to your makeup arsenal.
I was very impressed with how easily the matte shade blended (Beauty Mark, LBD and Day Rate). They are perfect to deepen your crease or outer corner of your eyes, as well as to give a smoky eye effect.
The shimmer shades (Strut, Call Back, 10K, Scout, RTW, Pose and Couture) were equally pigmented, but I did notice that Pose did require me to pack on the color a little more for a truer vibrant finish.
I have tried them on their own, over an eyeshadow primer, as well as over a sticky base — and I would definitely suggest using them both ways. You can easily create an everyday look using them dry over a primer or bump it up for a nighttime look used over a sticky base and primer.
The shades do show up true to color, which is definitely a plus — and you can easily create a plethora of looks using these gorgeous shades.

The swatches provided were done in natural lighting with minimal flash and swatched on my dry skin without primer or base. As you can see, they are very true to color and definitely have awesome hues appropriate for all skintones.
I also love that the shadows include a purple shade. I am a huge purple lover, but also find that purple tones play well with most eye colors, bringing out the natural hues and colors in a person’s eyes. This palette has definitely helped bring out the sparkle in my peepers.
Packaging
As I mentioned before, I love the packaging of this palette. There are different textures in the cover that really give this palette a great play on trendy sophistication. I love the addition of the gold tones that really match with the shadows.
I do wish, however, that the shades for each color would be printed somewhere on the palette itself, not just on the box the palette comes in. I am the type of person that tends to throw out the box that my makeup comes in for storage reasons, and I found myself holding on to the box because the shade’s names were printed on the packaging only.
I love that the palette included a Backstage Beauty Breakdown how-to of the best runway looks. This is such a benefit as I can easily gift this palette to a friend that is just starting off with makeup, and they could create a variety of looks using the colors provided.
The magnetic closure for the palette works well — I have dropped it several times and it has not opened on me; the shadows are snug tight in there with none breaking on me so far. I also love that the brush has it’s own little compartment, so this makes the palette easy for travel. This palette can be purchased at Ulta.com and Anastasia.net.
I think I’ve said “gorgeous” several times throughout this review, but honestly, it is definitely a great addition to have.
Now that I have finally tried out Anastasia Beverly Hills shadows and love the quality, I am going to have to add the Lavish Palette to my collection really soon… because overall the quality is amazing for the price. And of course, it is backed by the awesomeness that is Anastasia.
