I was recently at Sephora and noticed this intriguing lip palette — I wanted to know more as I love wearing BITE Beauty‘s products. This Luminous Lip Library ($36.00) showcases nine festive shades and lip treatments housed in paint pots bearing the brand’s signature “B” symbol. It certainly looked like it had a great range of colors to try, so I dove right in. Knowing there is an art to long-wearing lipstick, BITE Beauty clearly labeled each “B” in their index of lip treatments (along with their lip colors, of course) so the user knows what to do before delving into the nine colors.
First, you use Prep (once again, it is all clearly marked) with Superfruit Butter to protect, nourish and moisturize the lips. Then you use Prime to line and define your pout. It serves as a translucent natural base that primes lips in order to reduce feathering and also make your color more long-lasting. The silky, weightless primer is formulated with jojoba oil and argan oil to naturally nourish the lips and retain long-term color. Next, you use Protect with SPF 15 which is a soothing formula of organic mint and blood orange essential oils to refresh and cool skin, while delivering both moisture and UV protection. Finally, you are ready for COLOR!
This palette contains nine festive shades of Luminous Crème Lipstick, including the limited edition color Rosette, and delivers lush, long-lasting color. Here, I swatched the colors in order of their appearance on the clearly defined library: Cava, Rosette, Pepper, Fig, Cin Cin, Poppy, Carménère, Rosé and Tannin. Certainly there is a color for you!
My personal fav is Tannin — what’s yours?
